This part of the Child First website will show you how you can get involved in a number of out of school hours projects, either straight after school, during the evening or during the school holidays.
If you are looking for activities, please visit the ECCUP Activities page for details.
A bit about the East Colchester Children's University Partnership
Before you go any further, I'd like to introduce you to ECCUPus and Horace.
Our Roman Centurion reflects perfectly the history of Colchester and his horse is named Horace - after the famous Roman poet.
Our logo and all the ECCUP images you will see on this website were designed by a team of Year 9 students from Sir Charles Lucas Arts College together with Nick Turner, resident artist at the College.
Young people have been involved every step of the way in the development of our project and their enthusiasm and creativity has produced images that, are bright and colourful and appeal to the whole family, encouraging the development of new skills and motivating young people and their families to try new activities -individually or together.
A huge thank you to Nick and all the young people involved.

Our ambitions!
The East Colchester Children's University Partnership exists to support the development of CREATIVE and IMAGINATIVE out of hours learning opportunities for young people and their families across East Colchester.
Working in partnership with the local community and local/national agencies, key objectives of the programme are that activities and modules are developed to STIMULATE, MOTIVATE, and ENCOURAGE young people and their families to try new activities outside of the school day.
There is an enormous amount of support for young people across Colchester, with a variety of activities on offer - often it is just a case of young people not being aware what's out there.
We will work in partnership to promote and encourage participation in out of school activities and CELEBRATE the achievements of the young people and families who take part.
Working together we can give a CONSISTENT message of SUPPORT to young people in our area.
